I don't have a problem with the circles theme staying for a while longer yet, but it would be nice to get a few new additions to the set.
But done well, not like those awful 'Love...' idents and the poor excuse for idents for Africa which didn't even follow the circle theme.

If they just keep adding a couple of new idents every so often I think that is all that's needed to continue the theme for another couple of years, but only if they are good quality idents.

Ditto. The theme is fine - it just needs new additions.

Didn't they still get a fair bit of stick when the dog ident was introduced?

Noticing how late the current series of the SuperLeague Show is going out in the northern regions, I was wondering whether they still have to staff galleries in Manchester, Newcastle as well as Leeds (where the programme originates from) to get it on air in each of those regions? (I'm assuming that Leeds can still do a pan-regional opt for Hull's patch)

Now that there are no analogue transmitters to worry about, and digital transmitters are fed via the centralised coding and mux facility rather than from the regional centre, do they now simply switch the Leeds backhaul feed into circuit for North East and North West at the CCM facility (and the satellite equivalent) rather than staffing the galleries for the opt?

I have been browsing the web and I came across a former BBC One daytime show, The Morning Show. I know it was presented by Nicki Chapman, but I don't know the male host. Anyways, I have done quite a lot of research and I was wondering when the show aired? I am guessing 2003ish?

Was it not the replacement to Kilroy?

The Morning Show was broadcast live each week day morning and was hosted by Nicki Chapman and Robert Nisbet. The show featured a mixture of celebrity guests and consumer advise.

Ah! Thanks for this! Also, done my own digging and found the website for the show, the studio seems small in this "interactive" demo here, some may be interested: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/spl/hi/programmes/morning_show/html/studio_tour.stm

No that aired at 9am. The Morning show aired after it at 10am. It was produced by the BBC Breakfast team and came from the Liquid News set which was slightly redressed with a big sofa iirc.
Are you getting it confused with Now You're talking?

The initial replacement for Kilroy was an extra half hour of BBC Breakfast and House/Garden Invaders. Invaders was then soon replaced by Now You're Talking made by Kilroy's production company.
Basically it was the old Kilroy show cut to a half hour with Nicky Campbell, Sian Williams and Nadia Sawalha. They took turns hosting I think. The show was only commissioned because the BBC had to honour it's contract with Kilroy's production company.

Yes, it was so similar to Kilroy it even had the same set, though it was never going to be a long runner because it just looked ridiculous. It's amazing to think how long Kilroy lasted, actually, over fifteen years and surviving every single daytime revamp, despite it never being particularly popular. Who knows how long it might have carried on had its host not had to, er, go away? In the end it was great news because that slot ended up rating far better.

The Morning Show got quite a lot of publicity when it began, it was the first time they'd tried to do a proper live magazine show since Anne and Nick but it was going to be a proper alternative to This Morning by being far newsier, and they were going to do follow-ups to their polls and surveys on The Six O'Clock News. But nobody was interested.

With the Wimbledon Semi essentially cancelling Question Of Sport and Sherlock (thouh Eastenders survived) Is it likely that they will show the scheduled episode of Sherlock (A Scandal In Belgarvia) or just skip it to the next episode (Hound of The Baskerville) as it's a repeat run anyway.
