So Mrs. Brown's Celebrities is still on the cards then? when will it get produced? since he in Oz touring and got a film to make in the Autumn? On top of that there is suppose to be Mrs Browns Boys cartoon. ( in the same way as Mr bean)

Im sure I read somewhere he trying to keep a tight grip on how often Mrs brown is on the telly, just to make sure she is not over used.

I thought that, I cant remember where I read it but he dislike the idea. I wish I could find that piece.

I just wonder when the cartoon will appear?

I think it's now safe to say that the circle idents are now the channel's longest-serving idents since it became known as BBC1/BBC One (2446 days as of yesterday), having overtaken the virtual globe last month (2422 days) and now the Futura Bold globe of 1974-81 (maximum of 2445 days). The 'bats wing' symbol of the 1950s may have lasted longer, but if the introduction date of 02/12/53 is correct, and I don't think it's likely it was still in use later than 07/10/60 (maximum of 2501 days), then the circles should even have overtaken that one by mid-August, which now seems almost certain.

Yes, and there are no plans to replace them yet either. So possibly another year of circles to follow!

I don't have a problem with the circles theme staying for a while longer yet, but it would be nice to get a few new additions to the set.
But done well, not like those awful 'Love...' idents and the poor excuse for idents for Africa which didn't even follow the circle theme.

If they just keep adding a couple of new idents every so often I think that is all that's needed to continue the theme for another couple of years, but only if they are good quality idents.

Ditto. The theme is fine - it just needs new additions.

Fantastic line-up for Question Time tonight. Assuming no one has pulled out, it features Boris Johnson, Russell Brand and Melanie Phillips.

Normally they only feature a maximum of one comedian - will two comedians be a first for Question Time?

NB: Melanie Phillips is not that second comedian.
