I saw that BBC One Spring last night for the first time and I have also have to say, it just looks plain nasty.

I cannot believe it's still being used... Although it seems to be in mono?

Just seen a new 'Love Spring' sting, recoloured to black and green with hints of yellow and red, to make it look like a nighttime scene.

A lot less spring-like but looks much much better.

'Love Spring' sounds like the name of a product you might find in Ann Summers to me.

Maybe that says more about me though.

As long as it doesn't turn into the 'Summer of Love'...

That's excellent - do all regions have something like that or is that a BBC South innovation? And has anything like that ever gone to air?

Did anyone watch This is BBC One at 18:30? I turned to BBC One HD just before the Party Election Broadcast at 18:55 and saw the BBC glass blocks. Were these shown instead of the preview loop?

I assume it's what they play when they opt back to Southampton so if there's a problem and they fail to go off air there's something to go to air.

I don't think other regions will have something like that, if they have a breakdown they'll just fall back to whatever the sustaining service is now - BBC London I assume

Love Spring is getting extremely wearisome (and I've watched very little other than MotD recently).

Why is there a nicely coloured in nighttime sting/endboard but no ident and when/are the circles returning?

Yes, fed up of it being used at practically every junction - was far too cheery to lead into The Village!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but why does BBC 1 HD not take BBC London output when the regional opts are on? I only ask because I have been recording the Sunday Politics on HD channel for the last few weeks - it never works on BBC 1 SD - and it has a London opt on the menu at the start, but when it comes to the actual regional section, we just get holding graphic with the birds chirping.
