That almost looks like they've recoloured it in post production and it was originally yellow.

They are ridiculously off message. Did nobody tell them that BBC1 is red.

This is going to culminate in an equally underwhelming, probably pink and blue "Love Xmas", isn't it?

I love the new BBC One 'Love Spring' look. It adds a brand and definition to the season, and collects new series and programmes under a collective umbrella. What's all the problem?

It looks awful and isn't very 'BBC'. And it looks awful.

I fear you're probably right.

The thing is that if its in a similar vein the these with snow, Christmas trees popping up, etc. it would automatically make it more festive than last years terrible offering.

What are you smoking dude?

How can those stings/idents bring all new series under a collective umbrella? It's far too tenuous.

I think if the BBC were running a crime or SciFi strand you could probably tie it together, but love spring is lame.

Its not just the implementation of those graphics, which I have said before look more like a cinema 4d tutorial file than anything else - they are just so generic, but conceptually "love whatever" is shallow charmless crud that doesn't even appeal to the lowest common denominator. It would feel tacky on itv, and that is saying something.

It'll probably look quite good (it's actually quite refreshing not to have a live action ident!) but it's the "Love ..." tagline which I'm hating.

It's following the 'LOVE 2013' theme from early January, which I agree was somewhat unusual the first time round, but perhaps we're going to be shown something similar for Summer and Autumn too.

The idents are quite pleasant though, and make a change from the tired live action circles.

As fresh as it is compared to the circle idents, I can't take to the music. I also can't take to the jolting switch from red to bright yellow.

If they're going to have Spring branding then yellow is probably the best colour to use.
