Anyone else's Sky Plus split the pre credits into 2? Sad

Have to hope the BBC THREE repeat on Friday doesnt do the same, but it mentions Audio Description in the Sky Epg.

Do hope this is able to be switched off.

(Yes I am trying to save a few quid, but I bet Im not the only one!)

Think the 'modified' BBC One ident wasn't part of the show - it was still part of the junction (the 2.0 to 5.1 audio junction happened after the ident) - so Sky+ boxes will have recorded on the 'start of programme' trigger?

Well I got the ident and part of the first scene as part of the local news & the rest as its own entry!

Also, the BBC Worldwide Purple box was used on the Endcap for Doctor Who, first time on BBC One?
That's odd. Don't they normally use the red BBC Cymru Wales one? In any case, it's not the first time on BBC One as I've seen it on something in the CBBC block last year.

Incidentally, are there still long versions of all the idents available, (even if seldom/never used)? I know 'wall of death bikes' long version still exists.

It may be my imagination but I think I saw the long Surfers on BBC One Scotland recently. They use the long Hippos and Wall Of Death fairly often.

I think there only is a long Surfers, as the circle appears and disappears so quickly and close to the end.

They had both. Cymru Wales followed by Worldwide. They've been edited onto the DVDs before but not on the actual broadcast version. I guess the funding must have changed so they want to credit them on the initial broadcast.

It does look daft though in my opinion - two BBC endcaps back to back that to Joe Bloggs say pretty much the same thing. By all means give BBC WW a credit but do it on the same end board as Cymru Wales and change the purple thing to actually say BBC WW, because at the moment to 99% of viewers it's just a weird purple version of the BBC logo.

Crikey, did you manage to capture the only showing of this? < Geek > I've recorded every junction from BBC1 since Thursday and haven't seen it at all. < / Geek > Sure you didn't knock this up in Powerpoint? Wink

Nope. It definetely aired. It had the "Here Comes The Sun" song playing with it! I saw it twice and that was it. Makes you wonder what the point of it was really!

"April Fool!"

Not really, that did actually air - although I only watched it back off iPlayer Restart on the night and must admit that I haven't seen it since either. Maybe someone else also realised how it looked?

I've only caught it once as well. It does beg the question why they bothered making it in the first place.

Last I saw of it was the day after that was posted.

It was horrific.
