Yes and no...
The 'Nations Clean' version of BBC One / Two play out the spinning blocks in place of junctions. At the end of a programme, it'll hold on the last item for three seconds after the end time (often the endcap or a fade to black), then cut up the spinning blocks until three seconds before the next programme - which will normally be black, but not always. (The previous version of the EastEnders titles would cut from the clock at 09:59:57:00 to three seconds of rippling River Thames before the zoom out started at 10:00:00:00.)

The glass blocks ident was done for BBC DVDs / Blu Ray to replace the 1997 ribbons ident. It exists constantly running under all channels in case everything else fails so there is always a picture of some sort.
