The 'All together now' promo has been notably absent during the Olympics. I thought they'd be showing the same one they did after Wimbledon after any programmes that had gold Team GB moments, but they haven't shown it at all.

It was shown before the Opening Ceremony. As the coverage hasn't really stopped since then I suspect that it doesn't really work as well... we've all been sitting down watching TV for a fortnight! Laughing

I've actually seen it a couple of times throughout the fortnight

Also perhaps doesn't work as well when directed at a single programme rather than a whole summer as Gary would be sitting down to watch himself most of the time!

That BBC One form up for the Doctor Who trailer is very nice indeed, particularly with the 3 note element.

Out of interest, what are the three chords or notes that make that little BBC One musical thing, used in all the idents, too?

Most of the idents are in different keys, so the notes change with each, although they follow the same pattern. The Capes ident for example is E - D - G, if that helps?

Yep, it's the sixth degree of the major scale, followed by the fifth, followed by the tonic, if you'll excuse my music-speak!

The BBC One HD DOG hasn't made an appearance since the end of the Olympics from my limited time watching programmes last night and this morning.

Has it since reappeared, gone for good...?

It's been missing since July 27th, hopefully gone forever, but that would be very wishful thinking !

I would wait until Wednesday before determining if it's gone for good, as that's when they're making the technical changes to restore everything back to how it was (minus BBC One being fully HD, which will remain).

Most (non-live) stuff still originates at 1440x1080 though, doesn't it?

It has hardly visible in the first place.

Indeed it does, and BBC One HD wil remain transmitted at that resolution. By fully HD I meant that their playout is now soley HD, with the SD service now being downscaled from HD, rather than HD being an opt-out of the SD service.
