Thanks for your reply. I ask because BBC2 is undergoing a rebrand, WITHOUT, the famous 2 figure involved! I sort of assumed BBC1 would as well. Both channels are in need of a refresh if a rebrand is not imminent.

I'd forgotten about the BBC Two rebrand, and I was the one who posted that as well! Of course it hasn't been confirmed by the BBC and it may never materialise, but if it does then yes BBC One will hopefully get a new look to go with it.

I think I've already stated my opinions on the current presentation.

I think there may be. But I was referring mainly to a complete overhaul of the pres on BBC1. Like what we had in 2006, 2002, 1997, 1991 and 1985.

Not sure what is actually going to happen, but I would think it's odds on for an Olympics ident.

Full rebrands for Beeb channels in general look to be some way off - would be nice to think they are considering some early ideas and planning for a major overhaul a couple of years down the line or thereabouts (as might be the case with BBC 2 - I'm still not sure of the facts), but there's not been any indication of that as yet.

Question Time on BBC1 overlapping with This Week on BBC2 - shunted to 2 due to football after QT on 1.

Surely a short 'filler' programme could have gone on BBC2 after Newsnight to allow Political Geeks to watch both and switch across at 10..40pm...?

Still looks a little awkward somehow to me- I think it's the proximity of two BBC logos. Would look a little better in the bottom right corner?

..or perhaps without the second BBC logo at all?

I think it would look awkward whatever position it's in. It would look better without the second BBC logo but I'm not sure if they'd allow that. How about putting the rings under the BBC logo in BBC One?
