Is it my imagination, or has that pesky one frame jump going into BBC 1's credit squeeze finally gone ?

Perhaps SD and HD pres unified too ?

If the BBC have sorted it, can they pop over to Sky to tell them how to fix theirs too.

Don't know if it's a first (not seen it on the show before) but Would I Lie To You had the BBC One IPP with the hashtag on it tonight.

Looked a bit rubbish as the IPP is a bit big, two lines, and #WILTY... doesn't take much space.

I'm not sure about BBC One but it is still there on BBC Two.

Not sure about One but I've seen it done on BBC Three like that. Fortunately most are added in the programme style (eg. HIGNFY) because that IPP design is ug-ly.

I'm undecided whether they're worthwhile or not. The majority won't know/care what they're intended for whilst those familiar/engaged with Twitter don't really need such prompts, as demonstrated when they tried to force "#bbcdragons" over the more obvious "#dragonsden".

Is anyone watching the Red Button commentary during Strictly Come Dancing? It is interesting.

Hmm.. I mostly agree, however I've noticed that when Big Brother launched people were using, #BigBrother, #BB12, #BBUK, #BB, #CBB - since they've promoting the official hashtag in the idents and in the programme, most people are using #BBUK now.

Slightly off-topic, but it drives me mad how over the top some stations are with this forcing hashtag stuff - ITV2 being the worst culprit I've seen so far, actually telling users what to put in their tweet, then listing all the popstars/soap actors who did it in the credits. Yuk.

For use of a better thread, why on earth is such great programming being dumped or better still being moved to the ends of BBC Four? http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0155fss/Time_Shift_Series_11_Dear_Censor/

Time shift should really be on BBC two, actually all of the content should be on bbc two with a good amount of dribble on two being moved to BBC three

That is the big problem that the BBC has with BBC2:

BBC3 and BBC4 each have a specific niche and audience and cover them very well. BBC1 is the big mainstream channel.... but what is BBC2 for? Outside of the evening it's not really for anything and even in primetime it's purpose is not really defined.

I disagree about Timeshift though, it's a great series but it's perfect for BBC4 both in terms of audience, subject matter and budget (i.e. it's cheap). It would never have been commissioned by BBC2 in the first place. If BBC4 does re-focus to 'archive and arts' it fits in perfectly so it's not moving anywhere. However one of the DQF rumours is that BBC4 programmes will be repeated more on BBC2

I do remember a high number of political programming such as "Tory Tory Tory" etc were screened by the BBC two around the 11.20pm slot every so often.

I have to agree BBC two is becoming dull, lifeless and somewhat pointless channel

Just seen the previously mentioned episode of Doctor Who with Meredith Viera in. She was in it for about five seconds, in front of the BBC Breakfast backdrop, I think.

Bill and Sian also featured, for about 10 seconds.

Does BBC One have a green cue dot in the top left of the picture? Is it new?

Maybe it's my TV.
