Did anyone see the weakest link promo? Instead of having the BBC one logo in the middle, it had today, and BBC one at the bottom

nice to see BBC One put up the helicopter ident on video on the bbc idents page, (about time as well) as well as the penguins ident with the new soundtrack

But unfortunately it's not the full version of the helicopter ident - it's the medium length one if that makes sense with the slightly uneasy butchering of the longer soundtrack!

I noticed that straight away, haven't a clue why they couldn't offer the full piece, but there you go...

I have noticed that the soundtrack to Heicopters is NOT the same as it was when it was oriningally released. Or they are not showing one version of the ident. In which case, there are 3 versions of the ident:-
One with a long version of the music and you see 2 men standing on the heicopter helipad. (the original version) - The BBC One logo forms after 17 seconds.
One with another long version of the music, slightly different, but no men are seen on the landing deck. (the version they are using at the moment.). The BBC One logo forms after 12 seconds.
And one more, a short version, usually used before the news with the music shortened and video shortened.
Has anyone else notiec this?

They've been showing all three since the debut in the new year, and no changes have been made to them whatsoever.

On BBC1 West after the start of the news, I just saw two long moments of no picture or sound (just black), either side of the Points West 'coming up' intro. What happened, and did this occur elsewhere?

Occurred here in the Midlands.
Happened in the South East and a few other regions I checked too. London, Scotland and News24 looked fine though.
Just watching online now, it looks like the regions opted early. In the South East, they opted at about 1:12 in thisvideo but as you can see, the London 'opt' didn't happen until 1:44, so that would leave around 30 seconds of nothing.

Scotland was not fine. Well, certainly not on analogue anyway. I say Scotland, Reporting Scotland went out fine - but there were bizarre black periods around it (but curiously not directly before and after, more in between the 10 o'clock news bits)
