Anyone manage to capture the continuity into 'What women want' just now?

For those who missed it the lawnmower ident was chosen. As the announcer said something along the lines of "I wonder what it would be like to read a woman's mind" a number of female 'thoughts' (BBC2 continuity?) were dubbed over with things like "I wish he'd just get on with showing the programme" etc.. Nice to see a bit of humour, I thought it worked quite well.

I just missed recording that by a split second, that was quite funny Laughing

Didn't know that vid was actually posted here, only just re-viewed it myself.

I was recording from way before 8pm, but almost missed it by a whisker - as I caught the start of the ident practically a moment after channel-hopping over.

The ladies didn't seem all that struck on poor old Duncs though, did they? (Mind you, I bet they would never have said that about Phil Vowels - witty and authoritative to boot!) Razz Laughing

Another good and interesting junction from Duncan there. I wonder how many of the comments are echoed by the viewers ('off he goes again', 'why can't he just introduce the film' etc).

It appears that the woman's minds were done by other BBC continuity announcers, I definitely heard Becky Wright in there.

Quite right I didn't. I was thinking that the 'here we go again' voice was that of Becky Wright when in fact it isn't and is of an announcer I can never remember the name of.

Not quite worthy of its own thread, but Nick Knowles is presenting tonight's one show, he seems a lot more 'interested' in the guests than Adrian.

New promotion for "Life In Cold Blood" - the red animated BBC ONE background, with a chameleon at the bottom of the screen, which swipes the "O" with his tongue and eats it. "Oh, you've ruined it now!" exclaimed Duncan...

Awww.... sounds fantastic. It's nice to know they're making the effort by having more special trailer endboards.
