Fairies has a nice calm feeling, that adds something to a forest scenario, and I'm guessing that they may use it a lot into the upcoming fairy tale update programmes.

As for Neon, it's there to do the purpose of linking through Saturday night, the only only programmes that it doesn't work for are Casualty (due to the drama aspect) and the news.

I thought all the idents were created at the same time, just revealed at different points in the set's lifetime?

No AFAIK the original eight were recorded and then each of the rest have been recorded separately or in pairs.

Think your spot on there. In first terms of seeing the ident for the first time I didn't think it be suitable for the more serious breaking news/news reports or serious programming. Think the music makes the ident spot on for that though.

I think Neon however is a good ident for entertainment. But Lawn is just weird to the extreme. Helicopter is a good ident to add to the collection. However am I the only one thinking they'll be a few ones disappearing into the background now....Maybe Hippos for one?

I haven't seen Lawn Circles for a while which is a good thing as it's the weak link IMO. They had such a good opportunity to produce a stunning crop-circle themed ident but failed by overdoing the bizarre element.

I fail to see what people dislike about Magical Forest; beautiful visuals, a decent soundtrack and a good scenario. Yes, it should not be used before news/serious programming but it is one of the better idents IMO.

Before the 10 o'clock news in the east tonight we had kites with the helicopter music. It sort of worked

Was that a mistake taking the sound of the network with the visuals of East, or vice versa?

That's a good question. We got the right announcement so we may have got the wrong visuals - maybe we should have had the helicopter ident. Peopl have said it would be good for the news.

Just to say, I saw Hippos yesterday, it was quite a weird fealing as I am now used to seeing the new ones. I haven't seen Kites or Football recently.

They used Helicopter into Ladder 49 on BBC1 tonight and it just seemed to work. It's a good ident for serious programmes/dramas etc and is starting to grow on me.
