I'm sure it will be up soon on the Beeb One website.

Ah, but high quality? It's always heavily compressed and in Mono.

The sooner the BBC use Flash for all their videos the better.

If a clean HQ MP3 of it could become available, I would be VERY happy to download it ... (hint hint)

I hope to have the mp3 soon, will post it here when I do.

I still think though one generic "globe" ident - whether an animation or "real" should be incorporated into the current set to at least be used into the news.

They should take a leaf out of BBC Knowledge's book

I like those and it's an actual tangible logo that can be manipulated and/or put in different environments. The circes are better than the dancer but it isn't a logo 'BBC One' is the logo.

Man, just came back from the States for a one week vacation, and a business trip, and I turn on my telly, to see this new helicopter ident on BBC One...

I think this is perfect for dead serious programme (ie: documentrary about diseases in Africa, or episode of any drama programme where there is very dark moments and serious conflict between characters), and definetley sutible in event of royal emergencies, or national emergencies, etc.....

I would love to see this ident in complete and clean format.... (since I recorded the ident to my Mac, and I would love to add the clean music over the recorded ident, so I can use it to add an ident to BBC One programmes I recorded)

Definetley somber ident indeed, and at the same time, a serious one as well. I think BBC did a good job of letting the people know the seriousness of upcomming programme in form of idents....

This new Helicopter ident is brilliant but it is not the visuals, it is the music that makes it. Would we all like it if it was all punk rock style?

It was perfect for Kevins death on New Years Day. I am glad they are (hopefully) returning to more 'normal' idents. They must have realised that Fairies and definately Neon are way over the top.
