Is it? I thought that was the norm. Finishing on the the 21st, and returning on the 7th. The standard two week Christmas holiday.

I don't suppose there is any chance that the bbc would release christmas idents on a day other than saturday, thereby breaking tradition?

Not with the present dominance of marketing- when will management take proper charge ?- but it's not a very long-standing 'tradition'- just since 2000.

15th Dec? I'm with the train of thought that says the 7pm 21st Dec would be fine.

Ahh - for the old days where the BBC One christmas ident aired from the first junction Christmas Eve and finished to a fade after the national anthem on Boxing Day!
