Apparently BBC One Wales have a special St Davids Day ident today - bunch of Daffodils in a circle floating in water with rain drops falling. Any caps??! Very Happy

White logo doesn't go too well with the yellow background does it?

Very nice though, and I'm glad they made the effort.

Hmm, these are very different to the usual idents. This one was just a circle, but the usual idents involve people coming together, and creating the circle. Strange,

Shock horror, a one off special ident made by the nations doesn't tie in with the rest of a set...

From the still it looks quite nice, although i'm surprised a little red food colouring couldn't have made it into the water. I wonder if we'll be treated to anything for St. George's day? [Silly question, I know]

Does this mean we may get a special St. Georges and St Patricks Day Ident then?? Rolling Eyes Laughing

And St. Andrews Day. Us Scots do exist, you know.

And to answer your question, probably not. Although it's easy to adapt to the new set so who knows.

I didn't say it was a bad thing, I was just pointing it out. And as for St.Patrick's day, birds eye view of a load of drunk people playing 'ring o roses ' in the middle of the street perhaps? Razz (yes, I've seen it happen Shocked )

Ah but you know that would be very politically incorrect nowadays. Wink

If it had just pulled back to show a still shot without any water movement, that would have been boring. But I liked it with the backdrop of rippling water, and the droplets of water falling down onto the daffodil circle.

Actually re: the droplets, a hint of BBC 2 Steam there I think, no?

The St Andrews Day one could have some highland dancers doing a sword dance. Nothing too stereotypical of course..oh and dancers don't go down well on idents do they? Wink

It depends how good the idea is and how well they're executed. In this case the idea you've put forward sounds quite good.
