Yes, if you've become used to expecting the Christmas ident on Jan 1 (and, the year before, it remained on air until Jan 4!)

It's 16th July and this is still exercising your mind!? Rolling Eyes

The original batch of the new idents incorporated red from BBC One's previous incarnation.

I am glad that the three new idents have moved away from the red thing.

And they've also moved away from the 'people coming together to do something amazing' type idents. Okay you can't say that of the latest one but Mission Control and Magic Forest aren't like the others when it comes to making the circle.

How erm, odd! I'm not quite sure whether I like it or not to be honest. I definitely don't hate it, it's just a bit weird Laughing

Asa

Now that you've seen it a few times do you have an opinion on it or are you still a bit undecided?

It seems to have gone down a treat... imagine it will get used a lot before dramas... it has a feel of desperate housewives about it... don't you think?

I agree and you were right about it being used before dramas; it just seems to fit.

I can't tell if it has been mentioned here before but another new ident was on BBC one last night. It showed a bunch of people on outside sofas and the circle was made of these sofas.

I merely thought the issue was interconnected with the surprise element of seeing a new ident on Saturday, yet no-one having hinted of its appearance.

There was a warning on the bottom of page 23 of this thread:

The Insider posted:
Interesting that you're all looking ahead to the autumn when there's still plenty of summer things to be done. Like cutting the grass for instance. Say, at 6.55 tonight... Wink

Admittedly it was a mere hour or two before the debut but there was a warning nonetheless.
