Seems like a lot of effort to go through just for a promotional book cover that isn't intended for public viewing. I think we can expect this to become an ident later this year.

I don't suppose the people in the know in this forum are aware of any news about some more new idents debuting in the autumn?

That cover really ought to be in channel ident form, if that very picture were to be a still from it.

If it isn't, then that's a really nice idea wasted. Has the potential to be visually better than Kites.

One thing that always bugged me about Kites, is why they couldn't go out and film it when the sky was actually clear and blue, seeing as the majority of the screen is taken up by it as the Kites fly around. Would've improved it considerably I feel.

Did anyone else get 2 or 3 minutes of BBC2’s golf in the middle of neighbours last night? There was no mention of the error at the end of the show? Maybe my digital box is on the blink!

The autumn highlights cover is rather nice. Would make a good ident for the season.

It looks great and I think it would definitely work as an ident not just for the autumn programming but also for regular use. In fact it would be a shame if this idea wasn't developed into an ident.

It does look great, but it would need some work, because it wouldn't look right if the logo was touching the circle. I was also thinking that the 'Autumn 2007 Highlights' looks a little silly underneath, in the way it is aligned. However, it's still great, and I would love to see it as an ident.

Indeed I think the bright red kites would look so much better against a blue sky! But you never know... Im sure there are many unseen bits and bobs us 'regular viewers' have never seen. Wink

I myself would prefer Kites to be against darker clouds, and perhaps there should be a version with a more sombre soundtrack.

Interesting that you're all looking ahead to the autumn when there's still plenty of summer things to be done. Like cutting the grass for instance. Say, at 6.55 tonight... Wink
