With the Two logo on it, I don't lke it. However, I can imagine it without, and it would look very nice.

I am a bit sick of the bbc just putting "referances"to old idents,they should just bring back the idents hich people love best.

The circle theam has just been a chain of "references" to past idents

kites=R&M
moon=globe
forest=R&M
hippos=R&M
space=balloon

if they dont want to bring old idents back they should move away from the reference theam and bring us something new which will be universally liked

How on earth did you come to the conclusion that Magic Forest and Hippos, two slightly surreal idents that feature no humans, are ''references' to the bloomin' Dancers!? Utterly absurd.


So please stop it - even if you are deliberately taking the mick out of yourself - though nothing seems to suggest you are, which is worrying!

I could say the latest Live Earth trail with the spinning globe is a reference to old BBC 1 idents like the COW; this is of course silly to suggest, but compared to the bizarre claims you've just made, it seems reasonable!

The starts cut off on that clip im affraid! Shows the rather vile green endboard though!

Dance X promo ends with a very fast speed endboard. I like it, but the actual design is the same.

Agreed. But it's nice when a channel feels assured that it's identity is established (as circles is now) to be able to produce one-offs like this and still know they've got the message across. It's also a treat for the anoraks like us

First for green, certainly, but BBC ONE Scotland have often added a BBC TWO or BBC RADIO SCOTLAND box to their football trailers when relevant (or a box which starts as BBC2 and then changes to BBC RS).

Just flicked over to BBC 1 Scotland - Ceefax is on, but someone's slightly mucked up the music, which is only working on the right speaker! Plus on the weather map, I saw a white letter 'n' randomly sitting in the extreme top left corner; what's that all about?

OK...Just then, it momentarily went quiet for a minute, when it came back on absolutely nothing had changed! Seconds later it abruptly cut out again as if something was briefly unplugged - methinks there is a dodgy cable at work here...

The autumn highlights cover is rather nice. Would make a good ident for the season.
