Up to Shorter idents (December 2006)

I can hear something but I can't make much out. I think it might be "we're on air" which I've heard at the end of the the talkback countdown into a programme before.

BBC1 dug out the hippo Comic Relief ident again for Let's Dance For Comic Relief tonight. Makes a change from seeing Neon all evening. And hopefully if the rumour is true we'll be getting a bew Saturday night ident next month.

Very nice I must say!
Looks like a rejigged version of the Saturday night ident. But the bottom strip look like a whole new ident.

Oh that looks like it could be rather spectacular. There was talk of a new Saturday night ident from George 12345.

So looks like we could be getting it this month.

EDIT: Just looked at the writing underneath the pictures and it says BBC One ident x3.

So it looks like three new idents one ending on a firework doing the circle one with the moon as the circle and a third one with something I can't work out being the circle.

Because the BBC One is centred that suggests to me they are idents rather than stings.

The BBC One ident and stings shown there seem to have been produced in 2007, if the image file paths are anything to go by.

Has it been sitting on the shelf since then? Or was this just a pitch that didn't make it to air.

Can you tell us if it is indeed three idents or just one?

Hmmm, don't think so - the page header shows that it was last modified in 2007 so I think it was maybe an early version of the current ident?

Shame, looks really good.

That's a shame as they look better than the final version of Neon we have now.

I think that one looks slightly better than what we have now. These are just like concept cars, they look great but the final version never ends up looking as good as what you saw in the design process.
