I do remember during the era of the robotic '2' that they brought out the ice cube 2 Christmas ident for about this time of the year, when we were getting wintry weather. So people weren't far off in thinking that Snowball could be brought out again.

No, it was the Snow ident that got brought out during wintry weather. Ice (with the 2 embedded in a block of ice) was brought out when the weather was very hot.

She sounds a lot better than the other recent female recruit!

I don't think I've heard her before, she has a very clear voice and good delivery. She's a keeper.

I can't say I've heard her before but remember that there were two new female announcers - one of whom is everyone's favourite addition that sounds like she is suited for Five etc.

Putting this here as it's pres related although it could well have been sport's cock-up - BBC One, just after the regional news, the announcer voiced over a slide about some sport on the iPlayer. Which gave the address BBC.CO.UK/iPLAYER
