Surprised to see that Inside Out had an animated "BBC Productions Yorkshire and Lincolnshire" encap on it. I thougth BBC Productions was reserved for the NPCs, nations and London?

They've all been doing this for some time now, though I don't think officially BBC South/Midlands/Yorkshire/London etc Productions exists. I suppose it's to differentiate between the news and 'series' operations in each region (though as far as I understand it both sub-departments fit within Nations and Regions, which is in turn part of BBC News now). Inside Out also now ends with the BBC One end credit squeeze across most regions too. This is edited onto the programe however, as English Regions aren't generally equipped with the kit to provide these sequences live as on the network. As a happy bi-product of editing the squeeze on, there's no picture jump when the DVE is cut into circuit like there is on the network!!!

"BBC Productions" isn't used by the Nations; well at least not by Wales or NI, not sure if Scotland has ever used it.
BBC cymru wales has its new red box logo...
...and BBC NORTHERN IRELAND has its new 'green blob and name in capitals' logo at the top and tail of programmes.
It does all seem a bit random the way the BBC Productions credit has been introduced.
I think officially, programmes made for the network in the smaller centres like Leeds are credited as 'BBC Productions - English Regions' (such as Helicopter Heroes or The Superleague Show). I can't help feeling that it'd reflect better on the BBC for them to credit the actual regional centres to highlight the Beeb's presence outside London.
Perhaps in the case of Inside Out, they're allowed to credit the name of the region, as it's not intended for the network. There were similar guidelines set out in 1997 for the copyright straps.

I think I've seen BBC Productions Scotland on something that was made for network.
I think I saw BBC Productions Scotland on a local programme when I was there last year. But since then I've only seen "BBC Scotland" on stuff made for network.
While this years Christmas ident wouldn't work too well IMO and Penguins having been kept (albeit in a reversioned form) that leaves Snowball from 2006. Actually I think that would work quite well in the circumstances. Even the soundtrack wasn't completely Christmassy, though it did have sleighbells I suppose...!
