I think you'll find that ITV News starts on time, and the ITV Lunchtime News actually starts early

Your argument is a few years out of date

That's the only thing that does start on time but as for the other shows they're still doing their little tricks. Coronation Street starting a bit after 8pm on Mondays, BGT finishing at 9.25pm last Saturday instead of 9.15pm are a couple of examples.

That was because it was a live show that ran over

Corrie's timings on a Monday are due to Tonight not having a middle ad break, therefore starting late and finishing early

So, its got nothing to do with the fact it normally starts at 7.34 on Monday's and Friday's and ended at 8.00 or sometime like today at 8.01 when EastEnders is already on.

Whereas on Sundays and Wednesday's it start at 7.29 sometime and always ended before 7.55. If you go to BARB website you know what I mean as the starting are on there.

And this thread concerns BBC1 pres. The fact that Big Ben never bongs at ten thirty was a passing comment in a discussion about digital delays and station clocks. Now we're talking about Coronation Street . I don't see how that works... Confused

S4C had one until its new package launched in January. It is now gathering electronic dust in the S4C pres suite I would assume...

Well it looks like the itv3 clock with the ladybird crawling over it is the only thing nearest to the clock that still lives (even though it dosent tell the time) for now but i must say the return of a station clock is much more likely than a globe because soon they wont have the dig/trest excuse anymore Exclamation

"In a long time"? Every night I've watched BBC One recently, I've seen the long Kites.

Maybe you are just having a bit of bad luck picking your progs / junctions, but it is regularly used.

I dont see the point of shortening idents they should have just made them short in the first place.

by the way these must be the first set of bbc1 idents that have been shortend and edited

Again, I don't think you are entirely right Wink

Count in the old Map symbol, circa 1962. One version went from a circle and then the map appeared, while the other started straight on the map. That's from approximately 45 years ago.
