Why the need for DOGs? OK, in the crazy multi channel world we live in, it's easy to channel surf and forget which channel you're watching... *aherm*. But when you're logging on the internet and going to a site in which you're deliberately choosing the channel you want to watch?

It's a watermark, more than a normal dog.

Just a thing, I was talking with a friend and he said there was a sting before some trailers on bbc one yesterday.

I know they are rare, but supposedly it was based on the kites ident and the following ident after the trailers was magical forest...

It was on at either the 8 or 9 o'clock junctions.

Seeing as i was'nt watching then, do you have caps?

It'd have been nice for the Beeb to organise the rights for all the shows before sticking up the simulcast. It's kind of sad when Question of Sport's blocked from the online broadcast... it's a pity rights need to be reaquired for the online live streaming - and slightly odd, it's IP locked, and you don't get "nope, won't let you watch this!" messages on, say, Freeview. Yes, iPlayer is something different, but Watch Live really just is another technical way of the same delivery - and I'd argue that it's easier for me to record video from my TV than it is from the flash stream, so any "it's insecure!" rights whining seems to be bollocks. I recognise there are legal issues here, but I just don't think there... well, should be.

No he means the navigation bars (i.e. the ones you scroll up and down a page with). The BBC One, Two and Three sites have horizontal ones along the bottom of the screen even though the site isn't that wide.

That must be a browser specific problem which is probably causing confusion on here.

That's exactly what I meant - horizontal scroll bars in Internet Explorer 7 (Windows XP) along the bottom of the pages, even though they don't actually need them.

Easier for *you* to record video from the TV than the flash stream perhaps, but for someone outside the UK using a proxy etc. probably not a big deal to, hence the slightly unfortunate policy of better safe than sorry.

Ah Duncan's on continuity tonight, off to a flyer with "First on BBC One, it's What Not To Wear. (pause) Sorry, Hole in the Wall"

I notice Hole in the Wall has been knocked off the Saturday night preview trail - anyone know why?

Dream Performance (BBC One)
Want to surprise your friends with a special performance where you or they are the star?

Long to transform your wedding dance into a sizzling spectacle with the help of world-class professionals?

Think your school or family reunion could be spiced up by giving them the "ol' razzle dazzle"?

Ever wish you could re-enact your favourite moment in pop, TV or movie history?

Want to thank someone special and have their favourite star serenade them?

Have a hidden talent that you are ready to unleash?

If the answer to any of these is "yes", you could be on your way to starring in a brand new Saturday night series coming soon to BBC One.

Didn't ITV have something similarly awful with Phillip Schofield last year which was axed after it's first episode?
