Why the need for DOGs? OK, in the crazy multi channel world we live in, it's easy to channel surf and forget which channel you're watching... *aherm*. But when you're logging on the internet and going to a site in which you're deliberately choosing the channel you want to watch?
It'd have been nice for the Beeb to organise the rights for all the shows before sticking up the simulcast. It's kind of sad when Question of Sport's blocked from the online broadcast... it's a pity rights need to be reaquired for the online live streaming - and slightly odd, it's IP locked, and you don't get "nope, won't let you watch this!" messages on, say, Freeview. Yes, iPlayer is something different, but Watch Live really just is another technical way of the same delivery - and I'd argue that it's easier for me to record video from my TV than it is from the flash stream, so any "it's insecure!" rights whining seems to be bollocks. I recognise there are legal issues here, but I just don't think there... well, should be.
No he means the navigation bars (i.e. the ones you scroll up and down a page with). The BBC One, Two and Three sites have horizontal ones along the bottom of the screen even though the site isn't that wide.
That must be a browser specific problem which is probably causing confusion on here.
That's exactly what I meant - horizontal scroll bars in Internet Explorer 7 (Windows XP) along the bottom of the pages, even though they don't actually need them.

Easier for *you* to record video from the TV than the flash stream perhaps, but for someone outside the UK using a proxy etc. probably not a big deal to, hence the slightly unfortunate policy of better safe than sorry.
