The regions seem to be a law unto themselves as Moon still makes a regular appearance before the BBC News at Ten in NE&C. Haven't seen Kites since it was rested by network though.

The regions just use what they have ready in their running order templates, unless they have a specific request not to use a certain ident they won't go t the bother of changing them.

he guys in London don't monitor what all the regions do and i doubt they'd actually be bothered if they noticed a 'rested' one going out

Don't know if anyone else noticed it, but there was a message at the end of Down The Line on Sunday saying that the show's title was used with permission of Paul Whitehouse, who happens to have a Radio 4 show of the same name. It was a still image of a train with the BBC logo on a red background.

Think it's Duncan on duty tonight, but whoever is on duty tonight on BBC1, they've just played a thunderbolt sound effect and mentioned "Halloween Night on BBC ONE" into "Have I Got News For You"...

That BBC Switch trail before HIGNFY was very annoying. Making it look like a technical fault does not look good, if it did TV engineers would leave them all in!

I was about to post the same. What effect are they trying to go for there?

Why were there no subtitles on BBC One West Midlands but there was on BBC One London?

Was this a technical error with Virgin Media or did Red Bee forget to press the swtich?!

Did anyone hear the announcement into Speed on Network?

If I heard correctly, the announcer said that the film starred Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bollock . Whoops...

(Those hoping for a profanity-free evening without Jonathan Ross are going to be disappointed.)

And Duncan's tones have just been heard on the ITV News during their lead story which included an edited version of the 10.40pm announcement. Very Happy

Did they make a special announcement before Speed about Friday Night With Jonathan Ross such as an explanation or apology?
