Up to Shorter idents (December 2006)

I *think* there are general points for each ident at which the announcer is expected to chime in - these have been referred to as 'con at -' points ISTR, so I'd expect there to be some sort of structure with the timing.

It has, however, always been my opinion that long idents have never suited the Beeb anyways. Form-ups and introductory jingles on the channel, absolutely fine - though I feel having to wait 15 seconds for the 'BBC one' (and Circle) to appear is a bit much.

The point is that when your dealing with tight junctions, all you need is the logo and the V/O.

I would just cut out the bits featuring 'Mission Control'. Actually it may improve the ident by doing this; IMO idents that don't feature people look a lot better. Of course, if this did occur the ident name would be redundant.

Amazing how often this quetsion crops up on TV Forum! Yes the Dancers Clock (although never used on air) did exist and was superimposed over a blurred static of the Capoeira ident.

not made by me but do you not think something like this will happen,its a good mock and i think this trestrial and digital thing should be ignored it dosent matter which form your watching in the clock will still appear to the viewer to hit six oclock before the news starts.

I wonder what the real reson for getting rid of the clock was.they could have easly overcome the timing on different services which was there exuse for getting rid off it
