We saw it into Doctor Who tonight and in a weird way it fitted perfectly.

Didn't even let the logo form on Moon, before Jekyll ...

I thought they had curbed doing that - guess not Rolling Eyes

Really? Shocked My God they need to sort that out. They knew how long they had before Jekyll so they should have had an ident of the right length accordingly. And they need to do a cutdown version of Mission Control.Channel 4 get it right everytime along with the sound levels for the announcements. BBC1 do seem amateurish from time to time.

If they'd cut a few of the trailers...

Here's how I would shorten these idents..

The point is that when your dealing with tight junctions, all you need is the logo and the V/O.

Spot on, that's how they should do it but maybe still have the start with the spaceship launching.

I'd love to see some versions used which would practically cut straight to the logo.

These long versions are going to get tedious more quickly. Although it's likely that these could set the record for most amount of time on air per day / week etc, and possibly overall, unless they are brought to an end earlier.

The Channel 4 logos take awhile before they form, but they never have the problem BBC1 seem to have. Don't they rehearse with them before going live?
