Several versions were filmed of the formation just incase they decided to change how it worked and the one they used happened to be a different version than the demo they sent out for music ideas.

The final one is actually quite nice ...

Now I feel a bit mor confident about it. Roll on Sunday say I! Very Happy

Yes the final video edit is very nice.

There's an interesting interview on the Broadcast website from new BBC1 Controller Jay Hunt. She's saying all of the right things and hopefully she can deliver.

Hmmm, what do you all make of that interview with Jay Hunt?
She presses all the buttons you'd expect from an incoming BBC One controller: "fantastic programmes... across a range of genres", "a place where the nation comes together", "continuing to make the channel feel relevant" etc etc.
She acknowledges the mini-weaknesses we can all spot in the schedule: lack of mainstream pre-watershed comedy, the mess that is 10.35pm weeknights, need for Saturday night shows that aren't about talent, and so on.
She even indulges in a measure of industry jargon, with talk of high-concept pieces, landmark pieces and formatted pieces!
And yet... we're still somewhat in the dark as to the particular direction she wants to take the channel. Every controller wants "big, brave, ambitious ideas" and talks about "taking calculated risks". I suspect we may have to wait for Ms Hunt to settle into the job awhile.

Seeing as she started this year it means that the upcoming Autumn schedule is still really Fincham's with a bit of Roly Keating when he was interim head. Next year's Autumn season will be interesting as that'll be full of Hunt commissions.

I'll admit that I'm in wait and see mode.

Currently on BBC One they're re-showing the opening ceremony (highlights). I noted the continuity announcement as well as warning viewers that the programme contained strobe lighting that it also 'contained some computer generated fireworks and a girl miming to a song sung by another girl'.

Just out of interest I've not heard the newer lady continuity announcers in primetime lately. Are they still there?

I'm pretty certain they're still doing shifts, yes; although I wouldn't know what times!
