There's no way that second clip is the final video - the end shot doesn't look anywhere near as polished as the other example.

Also, the piano music version, while it may be less annoying, starts playing in one key...Then notice, the jingle comes in at the end, and it's in a completely different key - what the hell!? That just spoils the piece and makes it feel totally disjointed. Confused

Seems to me like the first video is, overall, far closer to what would be accepted for a final version - the music stays in key, doesn't stop dead after the form-up, and the final circle reveal looks much slicker.

I would say that the first one would be the Ident. I like the first Ident better anyway. If you look the second video is the filming on location the first one has got 3D edit. You can tell they but a cricle over the midle and 3d images of buildings on the four conners. i must say you can tell there 3D. I think the ident would grown on me but if the final one different music it would be great.

EDIT IS JUST SPELLING CORRECTIONS.

Yes if you put them side to side, you can clearly see that the first version has had post-production and been polished up quite a bit. The second version seems to be a very rough first edit:

I actually prefer the form up in the one on the left as you see all of the bicycles coming together to form the circle. They should do that with the one on the right and it'd work better.

So are these draft versions and not the finished article that we will see on Sunday?

Both versions are rough working versions and wont be airing. There will be a final cut with different music and completed visuals.

Any idea who the composer of the 'proper' final music is?

I had thought Imran Hanif was the go-to guy for all of these idents (both the starting set and the additionals), but judging by these 'pitches' that have sprung up online, it seems this was open for entries..?

That is correct - you are watching many of the drafts.

Don't like either soundtrack. It's definitely not the final version though as you can see the car on the right parking twice and two people running out lol

Please tell me that the final version is better than these.

I like the visuals - granted it's one of the weaker idents - but the soundtracks in those drafts are awful. I hope the final version is much better.

The second clip clearly is the original rough cut given to help make the music - just look at the end shot with the camera shake. A bit of post production and compositioning, you get the final result in the final ident.

Several versions were filmed of the formation just incase they decided to change how it worked and the one they used happened to be a different version than the demo they sent out for music ideas.

The final one is actually quite nice...

Now I feel a bit more confident about it. Roll on Sunday say I! Very Happy
