I am sure the balloon is resting peace fully and not in pieces. It's probably to scared to come out of hiding in fear of being harassed by the likes of you. But maybe, just maybe, if you stop mentioning it in every post there's a chance it will return...

Yes, it's true that going on about how much someone does miss something, honestly won't make it any more likely to return. Que sera, sera, I guess.

BBC One Network and BBC One Scotland seemed to be having a bit of a tussle last night. Scotland cut away from the network ECP on Doctor Who just fractionally too late (with a shrink followed by a jump back to full screen just a second or two after), but the network Casualty ECP played out, cutting off the Scotland announcer. Network ident into Jekyll, but Scotland yakking over the credits.

I saw 2 new idents on BBC1 yesterday. Does anyone have any screengrabs?

One was of a space mission with a little mechanical "rover" and one of a forest.

Anyone?

# Magical Forest: The natural world, and a group of fairies come together to create a magical fairy circle in sunlit woodland.[1]
# Mission Control: A group of British scientists successfully launch a pod to land on a distant planet. Out of the pod emerges a curious rover that begins drawing circles on the face of the planet.[2]

NOt sure if this has been mentioned but, have the BBC dropped the "football ident" because i havent seen it in ages and it isnt on the Idents page of the BBC One website. I rather liked that one.

Northern Ireland viewers got treated to a virtually full play of Kites before their N24 handover ahead of the Sign Zone; however I wasn't expecting a second announcement to kick in over the N24 sequence, took me a bit by surprise.

MP3

I've never seen this done by Network, not once (has anybody ever encountered it, or is it new?) but it works very well as continuity has the bed after the main part - that runs for some seconds - over which to talk, so it naturally suits.
