I was just going to post the same question you asked today. Its being over a month since someone posted here that new idents are coming to BBC1 and claimed to have seen them too but why have they not aired yet and when will they.

As mentioned in my above posts, I'm not too sure about those supposed idents - it would mean all of the idents in the set would have been shown (there's going to be 16 according to the original press release) when these idents haven't even been on our screens for two years yet.

Although, if Penguins was an after-thought (following the popularity of the Christmas version) it could mean there'll be 17 in total now. Either way, don't get your hopes up.

well, i have seen them...so you'll just have to wait. no idea when they're due to tx...

but if it stops the conspiracy theories, i'll find out...

Well I believe what suziechan says. There are new idents but we don't know yet when they'll be broadcast. I remember people doubting bbc140 about some new idents and they turned up, we'll have to be patient. It seems very stupid to stop at about 15 or 17 though, just keep adding to the set is what I say. Mind you BBC2 and Channel 4 are long overdue some new idents.

Well suziechan did say that one of them featured people on bicycles wearing coloured macs and it looked beautiful, as for the other one I don't think it was mentioned.

Oh yes there is a pigeon ident where they fight the ones from the Channel 4 ident. Very Happy

I think we could see a new one just in time for the Olympics.

Yes I have seen the new ones - The clyling one contains people wearing coloured capes, a rain machine and more - very nice!

Due to tx within the next month.

And there they are. If bbc140 says it'll happen 9 times out of 10 barring accidents it will happen. Is it true that the other ident features pigeons and is it cgi?
