First question - The last one aired Monday 27th August at 6.40pm - so it may air later this year. Second question - No, that would be idiocy.

Good point.

Test the nation has passed its sell-by date along with Big Brother and Millionaire.

And what?! The Apprentice is great!

BBC One just went into the repeat of Holby City ident-less, just a black screen.

The music for helicopter started, for about half a second, stopped, and then the poor old voice-over woman, said her bit about Holby but stumbled when she realised there was no ident playing! Oops.

Duncan? it has been a female announcer on bbc 1 all evening

Yes it was the new woman on Saturday night before Casualty and the News. She was also on mornings the other week. I think she is alright although there does tend to be quite long pauses at the end of her sentences.

She did seem a bit "Five-ish", not typical BBC and I wasn't keen. But it was her first Saturday night so she might get better.

I've heard her in the mornings and she does seem to be a departure from the usual BBC type continuity announcer. Can't explain it, it's a feeling I get from her delivery.
