Put The Telly On
It's not purely Alan though. It's worse since this stupid "let's have a timecheck" business began. Why Alan can't just announce the time before the first draw like he used to, I don't know.

The whole programme is a joke!

Tedious celebs smiling away like idiots - telling us how we can win a prize when we know how to win! Asking Alan for time and making small talk. Horrible, garish graphics and terrible music.

The nonsense of pressing the button and watching the drawmaster actually press the button.

It is so tedious now... time to either make it interesting or just flash up the numbers.

I agree - the show is a complete waste of time. Lets just have the announcer reading the lottery results as they do before Match of the Day.

As soon as I see another Z list celeb - Connie Fisher, Duncan James and the like plus Alan's over the top contriubution I just switch off. Who cares that Number 10 was last drawn 3 weeks ago and has appeared 120 times since the draw began Laughing

Deadly's a legend up in the Midlands, as he started out (probably)on the old BBC Radio Birmingham in 1979 & brother Ray runs an animal rescue centre in North Worcestershire.

cringeworthy .... embarrasing attempts at humour.

Listening to him on Radio 2, he's really funny and quick witted with Wogan or Walker in the mornings, but the lottery shows seem to like doing heavily scripted "natural" exchanges with Alan and whoever is presenting. I think they either need to get a better scriptwriter or let Alan and the "star" ad lib it a bit more.

I see "Out of the Blue" is in the back of this weeks TV guides as beginning "next week".

Any idea what slot it's in - it seems ridiculous to make their own "Aussie soap" just for an early-afternoon slot.

The website's up and running, complete with a long preview/interview type video - http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/outoftheblue/

Very strange to see a BBC-commissioned aussie soap! Also strange, but not entirely surprising, how Neighbours-like the filming, acting and sets look.

The big question now, is where the bloody hell will it go?!! Razz

I quite like this one, but it's not fitting with the others like Life In Cold Blood which were actually circular, maybe they could fire grapple hooks and swing round in a circular motion Cool

Any news on Out of the Blue's timeslot then - I think the schedules for that week should have been finalised today.

Saw this the other night and saved the junction - nowt wrong with it; it bodes well in fact; making everything truly circular in special designs would really damage scope of creativity in the long run, so this departure from the usual shape of choice is more than welcome.
