It's been said several times over that the strap logos work a lot better than the boxed sort do. Bit odd there isn't any which are regularly used apart from BBC Parliament and BBC Learning Zone (or rather did) which still have 1997 style trail endboards.

BBC Parliament often squeeze 'Parliament' into a box too now...

Anyone notice how BBC Two slugs appear on BBC One to entice viewers to 2?

I'd say informing them Eggheads was over on BBC2 was more of a warning than enticement.

Those look much better though than the hideous BBC1 straps. I see they're still using them on Doctors, even though now it's own credits sequence has been changed to adhere to BBC guidelines with a "Next time" preview before the full screen, oversized credits.

Why on earth is Eggheads being promoted with this Slug? Surely if it has to be used then it should be at least for big name programmes (Eg. Next - Torchwood) as opposed to a 30 minute tea-time game show.

At least this one looks a bit better with the strip logo.

Oh lord, another Lottery blunder with the Thunderball machine.

Basically the selector flute didn't select a ball.

Oh and while I'm here, I cannot stand Duncan James.. the smug prat!

Is it just me or does Neon leading into Doctor Who feel all wrong?

AIUI, the selector came up with the bar inside designed to knock the ball onto the tray pushed upwards. So it would have pushed the ball out of the selector and back into the pile before it reached the top.

I agree about Duncan James. Who's he to call Deadly Alancoat 'Big Al'?

They seem to get anyone they can in off the streets now for the Lottery. It's amazing how even when cut down to a 10-minute programme they can still make it so bad.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/page/item/b009s502.shtml (about 3 minutes in)

Does this cut out before the 5 minute mark on IPlayer for anyone else?

And we got the well rehersed "there seems to be a problem" speech and the stop traffic hand. It's so cheesey it's untrue.

Yeah, I was streaming too but it just wouldn't go past the 5 minute mark. Oh well, I saw the bit I wanted to see.
