As great as they were, now isn't the time; it just wouldn't make branding sense and would spoil the consistency of the set.

If there's a real valid reason for dusting one of the balloon idents off in future, they might do so, but its highly unlikely and certainly won't happen soon.

It would be a great get back at lorrain hegssey if they did eventually bring it back as bbc1 icon, they would have to get it out of the balloon museam first though.

however the reality of the balloon ever comeing back is very very small.
None of the futor controllers would every think about it they would want new things wouldnt they.

Well the official word is 'togetherness': BBC One has the power to bring people together and a circle is a symbol of togtherness.

I just hope that the BBCs specal olympic ident is nothing like the olimpic logo its self

the best thing to do for the occation is have the balloon resurected and have it hovering above olympic city with some sort of human action involved.
its perfect it represents the whole world coming together at olymic city to witness and participate in the olympics in london

it should be suggested to the bbc
