Just to confirm all the nations had the bald man ident at 9pm.
These really do feel like they were made by somebody who just doesn't like Christmas. John Lewis seemed to understand that after a tough 2016 the nation needed something that made them smile. BBC1 is just piling on the misery.

They don't feel even remotely 'magical', and there's nothing festive about the 'soundtrack' at all.
Can't we just have the 2014 or 2015 idents again?

Well they could have re-used 2006 with the new gold endboards.
Bring back the hippos, cyclists, jumping dogs and ice skating penguins.

I think you were meant to focus on the red Christmas hat the bald head was adorning!
That's one of the things that always come to mind when you think about Christmas of course: mince pies, mulled wine, bald heads

I think the only people being boring are you lot - they're simple and sweet, and better than some that have been more elaborate.
However, what it does highlight to me is just how they assume viewers get that all their idents form a circle, when really - despite all this time - it is something that's lost on the nation. I was sitting with someone fairly savvy when the jumper ident played and he was confused as to why it zoomed in on the jumper. Similarly I was watching EastEnders not so long back with some guests and they commented "why is it called Albert Square when it's round?"

Might wanna change your frame rate to 50fps (60 is more for North America)
60fps is smooth. I like it. Can we digress?
No, because it's not smooth when you're recording something with a frame rate that it's not divisible by.
Recording at 50fps would stop the recording looking like a mess.
I captured the ident above.

It's fine for video games - but 60fps for recording TV programmes causes motion judder. 50fps is far more suitable in that regard (correct me if I'm wrong).
