I did!, but not in HD, Shame since it was 30 sec playout, but didn't want to take the risk of the sound, Its seems my box does NOT like coming out of certain films DW or SCD ( I think its to do with the surround sound playout)
BBC Scotland obviously dislike the main idents enough to make their own very simple, local 'bauble' ident, and what's more, play it out first!

That is NOT local made ident, I think its the news ident. but its strange there went for that first.

Mixed feelings. The trailer is nice but very "John Lewis", as others have pointed out. The idents are so simple, anyone could have shot them on their phone. It doesn't look like a lot of effort went into them at all. Oh for the 1990s when the BBC actually used a bit of imagination and creativity in their Christmas ident packages.

My favourite was the Gruffalo in the snow in the circle era.
I don't think these idents are fun. You have to admit the inner child in us all wants something more animated.
Considering BBC Scotland chose that to launch with it doesn't give me much hope for the rest of the set. However many they are they're probably no better than the jumper one. I already want to see a cross promotion with Casualty which sees jumper man get electrocuted by Rudolphs nose.

Circle Snowball and Penguins were great. The more recent idents have been disappointing, though this set captures the magic of spending time with family and friends during Christmas - even if it is bland.
The rest of the idents, if there are that many, are probably going to be excerpts from the "Merry Christmas everyone / Oneness" trailer with the BBC one / oneness logo slapped on. Simple, cheap, minimal effort.
I give it a day and I expect to see"Bring back them 1985 Robins" comments! Nostalgia makes us remember things better than they were. I liked the jumper ident. It is something that we can all relate to.
