What is 'Oneness' even supposed to mean? It just makes me think of single, individual etc. I guess they are trying to push union type feel, but it just sounds so tacky.

Have they done 'One for all' before? I know they have done things like 'The ONE to watch' etc. They could have done 'The ONE at Christmas' or something.

It's like this year just as all the branding and promotions had been created, some bigwig thought 'Ooh nooo we haven't got a slogan but its too late to change anything, oh I know, lets add 'ness' to the ONE logo'

They have already used "The One FOR Christmas" slogan which I think was used in 2003 and again in 2005.

Haven't they been using 'The One…' in various forms since the 2002 rebrand? Starting with that trailer that people only remember because of the parody made for Sky One Mix

Oneness... sounds like something a marketing think tank would come up with... then decide to use forever...

SCD also has a winning weekend sting which Aires before the ident. Has anyone sported the Third one?

Not yet, I've only seen (and captured) 'Lord Sugar' and 'Claudia and Tess' stings so far.

Nice little touch to each of the Oneness stings...

To the best of my knowledge, there's four stings to the set (so far, at least), which I'll call 'Bulb', 'Cracker', 'Snowman Doff Hat' and 'Holly'.

Here's all of them:

The music in the first 3 sound similar to the BBC Prime ident music from the 2000's. See 1:40 for the idents.

Anyone notice the frame-hop approx 3 seconds in, with Network's Snowman Sting (the one with 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' vocals). Happens at the same point every time it's played. I did let them know but they evidently don't seem bothered to fix it.

Probably no one notices, frame hops are now part and parcel of some video clips, and even whole programmes (Remember the Obama-Attenborough interview ?) . Wouldn't surprise me if whoever signed it off, was watching
on a tablet or phone.

I just think sometimes you can, maybe, get away with it and other times is just isn't acceptable, especially when contained within material that is to be used repeatedly, such as a sting.

It sticks out like a sore thumb when a boxed logo, superimposed on a plain yellow background that's supposed to be in a static location, suddenly jumps up and down Shocked

So, the other Nations did have their own respective versions of the Bauble Winning Weekend ident then, but chose to debut it leading into SCD tonight.
