Does anyone think these actually look good. At first they were OK because they were different, but the more they air the worse they get - they certainly don't pass the mock forum test for me. They might work better if rather than the flat red background they put a backdrop which suited the "o" - i.e. a grass backdrop for the football, with the logo then appearing painted on, but on the whole I just don't get the logic in the BBC using these.

hmm I guess I don't watch enough of BBC One to comment on this Brekkie - but at least it's something different to look at but yeah.. the circle thing is beyond old now.

But back to the general topic of BBC One, there's a big reason BBC Two haven't rebranded yet either - something big is coming and it isn't gonna be just one channel if you read between the lines - it's more than likely going to be a refresh of the whole brand.

They had to move quickly on BBC Three's rebrand - there was no space for hanging about with that so that's why they rebranded it specifically - but that's not to say a year down the line "if" there's going to be a refresh for the whole brand they won't give BBC Three a lick of online only paint.

As I say it's easy for me to sit here and speculate - I'm sure things are so hard at the BBC right now - so I have no expectations for them to change anything anytime soon.

In a nutshell, I speculate BBC One will get a refresh once the whole BBC Branding gets refreshed all in one swoop.

Speaking of branding, happened to stumble across this interesting piece online. Fascinating read for all pres-geeks.

Never seen the 1936 logo before and it does look very much like something that could end up on screens today.

So BBC1 supposedly the most tweeted about channel of the year with 15m tweets, 2.2m of those for EastEnders.

Anyone think those figures are really low and just highlight how television have overstated the importance of social media. It's basically just over 10,000 tweets an episode on average for EastEnders - which seems like nothing. Just shows how trending does not equal ratings.

Another new Voice sting the third man, that just leaves the woman sting to appear.

BEFORE anyone asks, I been doing paperwork for most this week, thus I just been looking up and the junctions to see what appears, while recording most of the morning ones. yet still mist the hoover ( just like last year)

Erm it is usually youth content that get the most tweets.

The article proves that wrong.
Quote:
EastEnders spearheaded BBC1’s success, sparking 2.2 million tweets in 2015, followed by the 1.6 million updates generated by the Eurovision Song Contest on 23 May.

Question Time (1.3 million tweets) was followed by The Great British Bake Off (950,000), The Apprentice (812,000) and Strictly Come Dancing (764,000).
Question Time? Not youth programming. And the reality shows listed there are all popular with older audiences.

Those figures only apply to OFFICIAL tag lines if you look around there are different tags used by other people.
