Surprised to see a brand new sting on BBC ONE vacuuming up the pine needles. Why they didn't use last year's I can't fathom.

Scotland seem stick in its ways and are not using that sting, instead sticking to the Ice Skater. I said this last year and I say it again here someone in Glasgow loves that sting. Is the Network used the skater?

Yes, throughout New Year's Day.

Its seems Wales also like the skater more than this hoover. I sure this hoover was on of the more rare strings even from last year.

It's a different one.

What I meant was last year it was never used that much, just like this newer version, which it seems will only be used for today?

All of the stings used so far are adaptations of last year's. The 'Football' sting now features a 3D football and the 'Frost' sting looks more sleek than last year.

What about the skater that looks the same? I've not seen the football one.

The Skater's the same. Will look out for the football!

Not exactly, the background is the same shade of red as the one featured in the 'lights' menu and the logo is fully opaque. However, this is just me being pedantic. Wink

Does anyone think these actually look good. At first they were OK because they were different, but the more they air the worse they get - they certainly don't pass the mock forum test for me. They might work better if rather than the flat red background they put a backdrop which suited the "o" - i.e. a grass backdrop for the football, with the logo then appearing painted on, but on the whole I just don't get the logic in the BBC using these.
