Adrian Chiles is a guest on The One Show tonight apparently

He is. Second appearance as a guest this year after originally appearing as a guest back in January.

I'm surprised he hasn't become the regular Friday host by now...

I don't know, it might work for a while, but then they'd need to get somebody more entertainment-y in to do Fridays. Someone like... Chris Evans?

He left The One Show to start presenting Top Gear. As he's no longer on TG now, a return to The One Show could happen.

Was that before or after Chris had to pull out to do more TG?

One can hope...

I'm sure Chris was already on board to do TG by the time TFI was finished off.

Has all of Planet Earth II been preceded by the BBC Earth logo? Is this the first time it's been seen in yet uk?

Doesn't make much sense... or have I missed a rebranding of what we used to call the NHU?!

No it's still an NHU production… BBC Earth is just one of those BBC Worldwide brands they've started putting at the front of programmes.

The endcap for Planet Earth II credits the programme as being a BBC Studios, BBC Natural History Unit, BBC America, ZDF, and France Télévisions co-production
