Penguins just aired -
in November.
At the 8pm junction today.
BBC One's presentation choices gets more bats*** crazy as this year goes on.
I don't see the issue.
I've assumed that the Penguins ident was associated with being used for the Christmas period - was actually surprised to see it come early.
Nice to see it used again - albeit a bit too early.
Penguins was introduced as a Christmas ident, complete with glittery Christmas tree in the middle of the rink. As a result of its popularity, it was added to the regular ident set, albeight without the Christmas tree.
Seeing it in November therefore isn't unusual or unexpected.

Ah. I stand corrected. I've screwed up quite a bit with that post.

Duncan Newmarch with one of his wacky anno's tonight.
A rare opt out for BBC One South West & CI over the next few weeks starting tonight. While the rest of the country gets an episode of Rip Off Britain at 7:30, viewers in the South West and Channel Islands get a programme all about the South West Coastal Path!
I'm expecting this series to get a very rapid National BBC FOUR showing in the Autumn. Based on part one, the subject matter and style very much inline with the BBC Wales and BBC Scotland 30min mini documentaries shown already. I seem to recall something in a recent Trust report asking for more England regions content for the Network. This fulfills that mandate spot on. More of this type of programme is surely on the cards.
.... and it gets it's network outing not on BBC FOUR but BBC TWO
This still looks weird to me with them circling something that isn't there, because there used to be something there originally
People going around in circles, circling nothing reminds me of every ice rink i've been to - the anomaly is the absence of people clinging to the edge and/or fallen over near the middle.
