Though why did the continuity announcer at 12.30pm say that Bargain Hunt was a different episode than advertised "in some listings"? No TV guides will have advertised the episode they ended up airing.
It's still technically correct (the best kind of correct).
The EPG and BBC website are "some listings", which would have been updated.

A couple of Planet Earth II stings on 1 NI today. Not sure if they were shown on NW or other nations. One is of a green underwater creature I don't know the name of, the other is of Penguins on a beach during sunset. Includes the BBC One NI logo centre screen and a #PlanetEarth2 hashtag at bottom of screen in a central position.
BBC1 NW showed long edit of Hippos leading into Watchdog just now, cutting to the programme
well
before circle formation. Looked terrible. If there isn't enough time to show it up to the formation, why not use short edit instead, I wonder?

Whilst this incident can almost certainly be chalked up as a mistake, I think it's been clear for a while the circle is more of a secondary device now; nice if it's there, not essential if it's not.
If you look at the Sprout Boy idents last Christmas, they held a very tangential connection to the theme and the logo really didn't sit well over the top of the eponymous sprout. The regular theme had to work around the concept - not the other way round (and the news ident, lovely as it was, forsook the pretence of being in-keeping with the circle theme entirely).
Rightly or wrongly, the logo, not the circle, is now also the "symbol" of BBC One (at one time represented by the globe). Perhaps that was inevitable after 10 years.
