BBC One 2016

You do know TV stations air promos for themselves - they always have done. No need to mention each time you see one.

When was the last time you saw BBC one do a proper Saturday evening promo, which included text along the bottom of the screen of the name of the show?

There doing promos and then there actually making an effort with the promos, which alot of people seem to failed to grasp.

Yes, to be fair it was as close to a 90s style "Saturday night on BBC1" as you're likely to see nowadays. The menu design was featured within the 2016 toolkit video posted.

I always thought it was a shame they didn't do more of these (c. late 2008):

We just had a different colour menu style. 1970s light brown.

I miss the complete versions of the circle idents.

I remember vidivly the first time I saw/heard the original edit of Helicopter. I wasn't aware that it was an ident until the form up, but was amazed by the peacefulness of the music score. However I do very much like the new edit music for it.

The original Helicopters ident was my favourite precisely because of the music. Sadly shorter idents leave little time to allow for music or any kind of artistry.

Do we know what the circle of lights end boards/menus are actually meant to be? And why there doesn't seem to be any other pres to match it? It looks like something from a fairground but it just looks so random on its own.

When I first saw it, I actually thought the lights were meant as a link from the lanterns seen on the Sprout Boy end boards / news ident to a red New Year 2016 version.
