The trailer for Iron Man 3 shown after Wreck-it Ralph had "© 2015 Marvel" stamped on the bottom left corner of the first shot, something I've never seen on a BBC One film trailer before.

Not sure why it says 2015, either, since it came out in 2013 and is being shown in 2016...

Saw this earlier, thought it looked awful too. Perhaps it was made yesterday or shortly before the new year, or if it was made today, someone obviously hasn't realised what day it is! Anyway, why were they advertising it as "Saturday 2nd January" and not just "tomorrow"?

I believe ITV have also done this when there's a trailer for any Harry Potter movie. I think the studio insist on it rather than the channels taking the liberty to do it themselves. Why it is required for a trailer though is beyond me.

I wonder also if the film will be cropped as the footage in the trailer is. I hope they don't start all that up again.

I'm going back a bit here, but when BBC showed the first Harry Potter film back in 2004, the various trailers for that had all kind of tiny copyright text across the picture - there were several lines of tiny text, IIRC.

STV and ITV also have those trademarks.

Coincidentally I've just uploaded one of those to my YouTube channel:

I'm pretty sure that whenever ITV shows a Harry Potter film, the trailers have similar legal text at the bottom as well.

After Sherlock last night, BBC One aired a number of drama trailers. One was for Silent Witness, which obviously hadn't been reverted to the usual red and circles theme and still had the festive lanterns and snow end board and the animated crescent over the BBC One logo at the start.

Thats strange because Scotland had Silent witness promo and it had the red and lights bulbs.

That is strange. I'm pretty certain that's what I saw after Sherlock though.

It may not have been a network promo sent out because the next promo in scotland was for River city.

Don't worry, you weren't seeing things! The Silent Witness promo played out a couple of times with the Christmas branding yesterday on network.
