Not seen this before - on BBC One HD at 18:55, after the usual promo snippets of Graham Norton and The Night Manager :

The resized image doesn't show it, but the text quality was terrible - fuzzy and possibly unaligned fields.

So are Party Election Broadcasts randomised around the regions, or something?

This is the third time this has come up on the forum! There are different PPBs in the London region.

Who actually WANTS to see a Party Election Broadcast? Wink

Yes, quite !! Should say, 'Stay right here for some peace and tranquillity, The One Show follows shortly'.

They could play the Green PEB every night as far as I'm concerned. It was so good

On the strength of your post I've just dug it out. It's excellent !!!

I didn't realise it wasn't shown by the Beeb

It was.

Apprently she's complaining that the BBC didn't turn it into a news story because it was mildly amusing, or something.

Quote:
Yes, Green Party MEP Molly Scott Cato has made the peculiar claim after the BBC failed to publish an article on her party’s new video

A peculiar claim indeed. Other than showing them as and when required, the BBC shouldn't be acknowledging party election broadcasts unless they become truly newsworthy.

It's child abuse. Which is probably why the BBC didn't draw attention to it. Very Happy

Perhaps that PEB got dropped in London for a Mayoral one, which is why the MEP felt it hadn't been shown?

Perhaps yes. I think it did get shown though (at least outside of London), as David H pointed out, I didn't read my own weblink properly Embarassed , though in search for that I did stumble across articles from December 2015 that stated the BBC had turned down the application for Green PPBs ?

It's been shown in London, twice.

London gets different versions of PEBs from the rest of England. The Green PEB has been shown twice in London, but on different days from the rest of England.

Broadcast dates can be found here (along with those for The Green Party of England and Wales's PEBs for the Welsh Assembly, and the Green Party in Northern Ireland's PEBs for the Northern Ireland Assembly).
