Suspect it was a new East Midlands/Network presenter combo and EMT decided to ring network and ask for one to be recorded?

Have they had a network announcer all week since the new set launched perhaps?

Leeds are still using Stuart Barrett, ex Radio Leeds, then Radio Manchester for Look North.

I am being silly but ever since they've doctored the capes ident for Michael McIntyre's "Big Show" trailer, I half expect one of the red caped cyclists - notably the one whose hairy bare legs can be seen - on the ident when it is played out for real (as it still is, of course, usually prior to the News) to turn around as Michael McIntyre.

After a decade of the red endboards I'm sure many rejected ideas look like an improvement now. The idents have aged well enough but the presentation not so much.

There is a new drama promo.

Not very keen on them at all to be honest. I think we'd have tired of them a lot quicker than the ones that were used.

Incidentally, is it just me, or do the designs at the top of that image look rather like the 2006-09 Breakfast titles with the revolving sunrise pictures? Did Red Bee also make those?

Yeah they all look very early noughties. Quite right they used the red swirl.

Why do those trailer samples say Doctor Who 9pm? That show would never air so late. It's finished at 9pm a couple of times, but never started then. And considering these would date from 2006, 7pm would've been far more accurate.



And I agree, definitely more dated than what we got.

It's a mock up. It's not meant to be accurate, it is a demonstration.

If you're going to nitpick, it's "Doctor Who", never "Dr Who"
