The overrunning rugby meant a top of the hour finish to BBC One last night, so the opportunity for an (almost!) 90sec countdown during the handover to the news channel. Still looks and sounds good after all these years.

Personally think the 2005 has not been beaten, when they first introduced the reporters news gathering. It was much more raw and fast-paced.

I prefer the current audio, but the visual sequence in 2005 was very good.

BBC1 seems to be running fifteen minutes early tonight. Anyone know why? With that sort of underrun surely a filler programme would have been better?
