You gotta love NE & Cumbria - close to seven years since its discontinuation and they're still using the old version of Forest. Very Happy

Did they not also continue using Moon for a long time after it was withdrawn nationally?

I would welcome the return of Moon, it is/was a lovely ident.

I would actually welcome the return of the 'dancer' idents as these hippos etc have not aged well. Plus the lower case 'one' has always looked anaemic.

Funnily enough I like the lower case 'one' and I really hope that they continue with that look when the next refresh comes around.

Not sure I would welcome the return of the Rhythm and Movement idents, the balloon on the other hand...

Part of me would a new set of idents and yet another part is willing them to be the longest running set ever, or at least make a decade on air.

I think they should introduce a Floral Dance ident in tribute to Terry Wogan.

If you are doing a tribute you would normally pick an example of their finest work rather than something you get the impression was a bit of fun and a source of mild embarrassment in later years.

I think the Floral Dance is one of the most iconic Wogan things. It's a wonder there isn't a campaign to get it to NO1.

That would be a bit silly... given the Floral dance is a ritual in Cornwall rather than Wales if you're suggesting for it to be used on St. David's Day.

With BBC London subtitles!

That forecast always has London subtitles on it. As do the sports headlines during the news bulletins

Am I imagining it or did a CA (in Scotland) talk over the start of the 8 o'clock headlines?

It's happened again tonight.

I really hope BBC One ditches Kites and Bicycles soon. They're getting very boring.

I've never really liked Kites. The white logo against the predominantly light background of the sky never really worked for me.

That's a terrible picture to use. If you watch the actual ident on Youtube, you can see the logo very clearly, and it doesn't look anything like it does in the picture you've used.

Actually, I got that off the internet, and it's about as good as it looks on my TV. I don't normally have any issue with the way my TV is set up for HD programmes.
