I see the BBC are reusing the 2010, 2011, 2014 CIN ident again, What ever happened to the 2012 and 2013 versions. Mind you you would hardly know it was CiN week. BBC really does need to try abit harder. Im sure I and many others said this last year, and the year before that.....
All (well, about 95%) of locally produced BBC NI promos are made in HD, and transmitted in HD on BBC One NI HD... and have been since digital switchover. 😉
Creative Services in England is back in house from January I believe, though it will take a while before the results of that are seen on air.
So, November 14th. In three weeks time we could theoretically get to see the BBC become festive! But the news is still non-existant at this stage! What do members think we'll see this year? How about a "Showtime" revival and the red curtain? (I jest of course!)

Can people no wait for a nice surprise in three week? At least that Election was a complete surprise, why cant xmas.

Of course it's nice to get a surprise. That's what Christmas is all about. But I'm too old to anticipate about what Father Christmas will bring me, so as I'm interested in BBC idents, I can't help but feel a little curious as to what we get this year! With regards to the election, I think many people will describe that as a terrible shock rather than a surprise!
Quite a reshuffle on BBC Two today so Children in Need's Best Bits could be moved from One to Two, replaced on One with a shorter (very old, non-celeb) Pointless, to make room for an extended evening news on One.

My prediction is a festive feast, with Mr Khan as an ice sculpture, Mrs Brown as a stack of chipolatas, et cetera (both items brought in by said characters).
Huw Edwards would be at the head of the table, tucking in to Mrs Brown's sausage, as Huw's confetti cannons set off all around his Great Hall, and a festive band plays to him and his guests (Father Christmas, The Queen, Peter Simon, The Krankies, et cetera).

Whilst I believe the Paris terror attacks to be a very concerning and tragic event, I do worry about the amount of airtime dedicated to report the actions of ISIS. By all means focus on the French, celebrate their unity and their courage, but to extend the News in this way is, in my opinion, giving free publicity to such an evil, disgusting organisation. It is in my view, giving the terrorists exactly what they want - attention. Extend the News but feature a 30 minute tribute to the creativity, the arts, the culture and the democracy of France instead. Sorry, rant over! I just dont agree with giving a second of airtime to the scumbags that did this, let alone 50 minutres.
Was the fault at 18:15 during the news only on BBC One Scotland? News Channel had what was coming up on Sportsday. Looks like they might not of been ready for the opt because CA said that Reporting Scotland was coming up at 18:30.

Looks like the Ident Gallery had it uploaded as well, but the above is in its full 1080p glory. I don't like it though; the "BBC One" is transparent and comes across as grey instead of white.
While I'm posting, does anyone know why daytime drama
The Coroner
is shown in what I can only describe as "ever-so-slightly widescreen"? There are black bars top and bottom, but they're so thin (36 pixels) they'd almost get lost in the overscan on most TVs.
