It's now been fixed. I only jumped a little when it went loud.
Sound problems on Strictly, only on HD.

Yes, I thought it was. It was odd, I'd recorded SCD, so I played around with my amp's settings, and tried various down mix modes, none of which restored the audio. I suspect a meta-data cock up somewhere.
There was an identical fault a few months ago on a movie ( I can't remember its name) on C4. Virtual silence on HD but fine on SD, that didn't get fixed, persisted throughout the whole film !
There was an apology at the end, for the break-up, which confirmed the voting window.
The SD channel is a straight downconversion of the HD channel, isn't it?

I believe it was only on London feed?

The sound problem was on BBC One HD which is England-wide. There aren't English regions in HD.
The break up at the end was certainly not London only as I was watching on BBC One West Midlands in SD, I assume again it was at least England-wide if not everywhere.

That's what he meant (probably !)
So, it was a playout problem within Red Bee (nothing wrong at Elstree), but downstream of Red Bee's clean HD feed to the nations ?
